The EU Projects

 At present two EU projects are ongoing in Senjski Rudnik.

EU Project: "Establishment of the Regional Heritage Centre in Senjski Rudnik Old Mine"


The EU funded Project “Technical Assistance for the Establishment of the Regional
Heritage Centre in Senjski Rudnik Old Mine” started in May 2012 and will continue
until November 2013. The project team is working together with the beneciaries and
the people from Senjski Rudnik to achieve the following main results:
  1. To develop an action plan for the transformation of Senjski Rudnik into an Ecomuseum and Regional Heritage Centre;
  2. To increase the local human capacities through training activities to start working on new jobs coming up with the developing tourism and the management of Senjski Rudnik Regional Heritage Centre;
  3. To promote and make known Senjski Rudnik as tourist destination through public awareness and communication activities at regional, national and international level.

EU Project: "Reconstruction and Restauration of Alexander Shaft Buildings"


An important complementary project to be mentioned is the EU infrastructure project “Reconstruction and Restauration of Alexander Shaft Buildings” which started in June 2012 and is expected to be completed in December 2013.
